About Us
The Deer Creek Optimist Club, formed by John Kannard, is a non-profit organization which offers football, basketball (boys and girls), baseball, softball, and wrestling.
We currently practice and play our home games at Deer Creek high school, middle school, intermediate school and elementary facilities.
We are really growing quickly, so our next challenge is to find some land to build our own facilities on.

- Early: $150 per player or Team $1500. Register between Dec 1, 2023 and Dec 17, 2023.
- Regular: $170 per player or Team $1700. Register between Dec 18, 2023 and Jan 21, 2024.
- Late: $190 per player or Team $1900. Register between Jan 22, 2024 and Feb 23, 2024.
Basketball
Deer Creek Optimist (DCO) Basketball is partnering with Solid Rock Basketball to deliver a comprehensive, year round basketball program to our youth. DCO will be participating in Solid Rock K-8th grade basketball leagues offered throughout the year.
By registering your TEAM with DCO Basketball, you will receive 12-14 practices. If your team does not require any practices, you may still register through DCO Basketball in order to take full advantage of DCO's team registration fee discount.
I will accept Individual Players for those players looking for a team, however I prefer ALL parents take an active role in finding and/or coaching a team for their child. DCO does not have a coaching staff available to assist with coaching individual players.
Parents of individual players, please search our Facebook page under DCO Basketball to communicate your interests of seeking a team, coach or player.
Coaches will be allowed to select practice times once your team has registered and paid.
Football
2024 DCO football Registration is Open!
We have teams in the following age groups: 6u, 7u, 8u, 9u, 10u and 11u. (Depends on your age as of May 1, 2024).
Practices begin in mid-July and are on typically Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings. Games start in late August. Games are played at Deer Creek, PCO, Mustang, Yukon and El Reno.
We are always looking for coaches who love working with children and not only teach them the game of football but also help shape them into great young people. Please let us know if you would like to help these young players!

Welcome to Deer Creek Youth Wrestling
The Deer Creek Youth Wrestling program is designed to teach the fundamentals of wrestling, while instilling self-discipline, confidence and good sportsmanship.
